What’s Included

When you receive your box and open it you will find all the goodies necessary to create the perfect and most importantly magical unicorn garden. Everything comes secure and safely packaged and all the pieces are bubble wrapped to ensure you receive them in perfect condition. Included inside the box are:

  • 10″ plastic planter
  • Castle
  • 2 Unicorn Figurines
  • Toadstool Figurine
  • Butterfly Figurine
  • Soil and Plants Sold Seperately

First thing you will want to do is go down to your local garden store, Home Depot, Lowes, etc and pick up some planting soil, and a few of your favorite little plants and flowers to use with your kit.

Once you have all the gardening supplies you can begin putting together your unicorn garden. The best way we recommend doing this is by completing the following steps:

  1. Spread a bed of soil in the plastic planter that is supplied
  2. Decide where you want your castle and place it there
  3. Start laying out and placing your plants and or flowers
  4. Place your unicorn, toadstool and butterfly figurines

By following these steps in this order it best allows you to lay out and see how your garden is all coming together and makes it easy to make any necessary changes.

Once your garden is all assembled it is now up to you to ensure it not only survives but thrives, and this requires simple maintenance to make that happen. Like with any garden feed light and water are the keys to your gardens survival.

Even if you decide to keep your garden indoors that is fine but you will still need to make sure your plants are getting sunlight. This can be accomplished in two ways, you can leave it outside for a few hours a day (recommended), or you can use a UV light to get artificial sunlight to the plants.

To water you will only need to water once or twice a day, this depends on also where the garden is being kept and the climate it is located in as to how much water it needs. A good rule of thumb is you do not want to the soil to completely dry out you should try to always keep it somewhat damp.

To feed your plants it really depends on what flowers, herbs, or plants you place in the garden. Different plants will require different nutrients so just do a little research about what you are planting and what it requires.

Feed Your Childs Imagination

What we loved most about this garden is it really feeds into your child’s imagination. In today’s society so many kids spend so much time on their phones or electronic devices, that they do not really play using their imagination. This allows them to escape into their own little fantasy land and just get lost and be a kid.

Even if unicorns are not their thing Creative Roots also offers the following kits to capture and child’s imagination:

Well what can we say…this Unicorn Garden Kit is awesome on so many levels. It is super easy to assemble that your child would be able to do it themselves all while using their imagination and learning simple garden basics. Once put together it is just as easy to maintain and makes a magical addition to any garden or room inside your house for that matter. This thing checks off all the boxes for us and we are positive you will be just as happy with it.

Nice one. Having your own unicorn garden. That’s so lovely. It’ll be a beautiful sight to behold. I just hope that it’s not going to be very expensive to manage or maintain. Having this kinda garden in your home would add so much beauty to ur home surroundings. Thanks for this review

This is a great idea to encourage working with nature whist while entertaining the artistic abilities of our soul. The use of succulents could provide a great alternative in the warmer climates. They require little water, about once a week,  and become a valuable and tradeable plant. Succulents are little fat leaved products and are so called because they suck up and store the moisture. The Unicorns can the dance and prance to their leisure without getting a daily bath.

Hello Peter, and thank you for the recommendation on the use of succulents we are far from being a green thumb, so we appreciate and expertise with plants that can be used.

Also I am sure, like you said, that the unicorns will appreciate not getting wet.

Hey Cheyenne – This looks amazing! I know it’s intended for younger children but many adult(ish) people like unicorns, too. I have a neice who’s 22 and she collects them! We see her and my brother every now and then but I’ve not seen her bedroom and it wasn’t until I remarked on her  unicorn phone cover that her father said her bedroom is full of unicorns!

We usually give her money for presents. I’ve no idea what teenage(ish) girls would like but I KNOW she’d absolutely LOVE this! It’s her birthday in March and I’m actually quite excited 🙂

    Thank you!Ian

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

So glad to hear this, I would love to see how her bedroom is decorated with all of the unicorns, that is so cool. Yes we don’t put any age limitations on anything here regardless of age if you like unicorns then you are alright in our book.

This is a really cute idea. So wonderful with the castle and unicorns. It would be even more awesome with a rainbow right behind the castle. If I get one of these maybe I’ll just add a rainbow. I love growing plants and this is just too cute. I’m sure that my daughters will love it too. I have a cute little dragon figurine that I could add to this. I love the castle, I have a little castle figurine that looks like it is made from sand. It would go perfectly with this magical unicorn garden.

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

Hello Venus, oh wow a yes a rainbow added to this would really just put it over the top. Growing plant really are so much fun and kids really seem to like to be involved in the process and watching the plants grow. Its a great way to spend some quality time with a child while teaching them gardening basics.

When I first saw this picture of this beautiful unicorn garden, I thought that it looked  really great. A little garden will beautify the place. Children will to love to play in a unicorn garden as it will excite them. Growing up, there were plants, flowers and trees all around our house and i would step in the verandah and just gaze at the garden. People should have a  garden around their house to make a first impression. An informative and interesting article. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

We agree we really liked this garden from first site which shouldn’t really be a surprise given our love of unicorns. Children really do love placing the figurines and being involve in the process of planting the plants.
