Right now, there’s a Unicorn looking over my shoulder, very curious as to what I’m doing. It’s the prettiest Unicorn in the world, shiny and glittery with its white, pink and blue hues, a flash of yellow and a gorgeous and impressive gold horn. And it feels a little lonely, on its own, so we’ve decided to find it a Unicorn friend.

Yes, that’s right. We’re going to look for another Unicorn.

How hard is it to catch a Unicorn?

But how hard is it to catch a Unicorn, you may be asking. Are Unicorns hiding in the garden, somewhere in between the daffodils. Are there Unicorns hiding in the flower pots or in the grocery cupboard? Are they under the bed, in the toy box or behind the shower curtain? Or are they under the rocks in the garden – those rocks that have turned a mixture of gold, blue and pink?

Or are Unicorns perhaps invisible, only springing to life when everyone else is asleep? Maybe only special people can see real life Unicorns. Maybe you need special powers to catch a Unicorn. Or maybe you just need to know the secret tricks for how to catch a Unicorn.

Here are some special ways to catch a Unicorn.

We’re going to share a few of our secrets with you, on how to catch a Unicorn. You may need to use a little of your Unicorn imagination and create your own Unicorn magic, because we all know, Unicorns are magical. We all have a bit of magic in us, we just need to learn how to use it.

The most important thing is to believe in Unicorns and believe that you will be able to catch a Unicorn. Once you believe in something, it’s pretty easy to make it come real. I know that, because there is a still a Unicorn looking over my shoulder.

Look up to the sky for Unicorns

The first thing you need to do when looking for Unicorns is to look upwards. Go outside and look up in the huge big blue open sky? Is that a Unicorn you see flying towards you? Are there a few flying Unicorns up there. Do you see flashes of gold and large twinkly Unicorn horns? I think so. And are those Unicorn wings fluttering majestically above you? Why yes, there are Unicorns in the sky!

Unicorns have the most gorgeous wings, wide and powerful, and they fly to great heights and to marvelous places. Oh my gosh, there is a Unicorn flying towards you, look, look at it, oh my gosh, isn’t it just glorious? It is indeed completely and utterly magical.

If you want a further tip, if your Unicorn hasn’t come to you yet, squeeze your eyes tight for a few seconds, conjure up a favorite Unicorn in your head, and then take another look in the sky. We know you’re going to see one. And maybe you’re even going to see two!

Use a net to catch a Unicorn

Unicorns are pretty big but you do get small Unicorns too. If you have a fishing net, take it outside with you. You don’t have to use a net by the way, you can also use your open arms. Dance around a little, turn and twirl, and twirl the net with you. You may just find that you catch a Unicorn while you’re dancing, with your arms open and your hands reached out.

Once you’ve caught your Unicorn, let it go. It will soon become your friend. Give it a name, talk to it, play with it and sing to it. Take good care of your Unicorn and you will find that in turn, your Unicorn takes good care of you. They do make the best friends. And they’ll do anything and everything with you.

Remember, Unicorns definitely don’t like to be kept in captivity, they enjoy their freedom as much as you do. Let them come and go, leave them to fly and gallop away. They will always return to you when they’re ready.

Unicorns love to Dance

By the way, Unicorns quite like to dance with you! Once you’ve found a Unicorn, even if it’s an imaginary one, you’ll find what great company they are. Young girls and teens, and even their moms, can spend hours in their bedrooms playing with their Unicorns. Unicorns are creative and they are so good for the imagination. And they really are fabulous fun company. Put on a little music, close your eyes, sway around and then dance. You’ll find a Unicorn soon comes to join you.

Draw a Unicorn and watch it come to life

If you’ve tried and tried to find a Unicorn but just can’t seem to find one, well, you can always make a plan. You can draw a Unicorn and you may just find it comes to life. Use a white piece of paper and/or cardboard and use whatever colors appeal to you. Unicorns are usually white with hints of blue, pink and yellow, but it’s a free world. You can make any color Unicorn you want! Be as creative and elaborate as you want to. When you draw a Unicorn be free with your pen and colors. There are no rules, draw and have fun with your Unicorn, and oooh, look, it really has come alive!

This article has hit a new perspective of view towards Unicorns. Unicorns are known as a mythical creatures but this article has give life to it and has taught me how to give to life to them. That really helps me with a lot of things. I can even have that as my imaginary friend. This is really interesting.

Thank you so much for sharing this article.

Hello Sujandar, who doesn’t want their own imaginary friend and if your going to have what better than a unicorn for your imaginary friend. Glad you were able to enjoy the article and thanks for stopping by the site.

That is a really cute story.  I will definitely be using some of your little stories with my 3 year old, who at the moment loves unicorns so much that most of he clothes have a unicorn on them.  Hopefully, she will experience some of the magic that your story conveys when we go on our own unicorn hunt.

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

Hey Nate, yes we want to inspire young people to believe what they believe. Especially at a young age don’t think anything is impossible, if you can conceive it in your imagination then go with it, believe in it, and just have fun with it no matter how crazy others may think it is.

  4. Unicorns are the essence of believing we are spiritual beings as well. When I die I will fly straight to heavenly realms using my own spiritual wings, for I am Spirit, I am Love, I am One with the Divine.

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

I agree we are all spiritual beings and should be encouraged to believe in things beyond what we can see in the physical world.

  5. Guru Prem Kaur Khalsa says:

There is no such thing as catching a unicorn. They are mythical beings. Just as I cannot “catch” a Sikh Guru, yet I join them daily in heavenly realms to help me wash the world. The difference is I was Durga, the sister of Guru Nanak–the first Sikh Guru, and married to Guru Arjan–the fifth Sikh Guru, after whom the following five Gurus were in our lineage. Even so the 10th and last living Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, married me and made me Mother of the Khalsa. Yet ANYONE can call upon and help the Gurus wash the world. They are not mythical beings but fully present Divine Entities, who lovingly help us whenever we call upon them.

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

Everybody is allowed to believe what they want its what makes the world such a great place, just like you are able to believe what you believe in. Don’t worry the second I catch a unicorn you will be my first contact so I can make you a believer as well!!

    Hi,

I just looked at your post on How to catch a unicorn and I would like to give you some feedback. This is really a cute niche. After reading your article, I went to your website to try to put it into context. Your are telling a beautiful story, When I read it, I was brought back to my own childhood. Those magical creatures are so inspiring.

From my reading, we can take your post and look at it from 2 different angles.

    1) As an adult, when I read it, I saw the unicorn as a metaphor. After the first paragraph, I thought you were using the unicorn to talk about the inner force we have inside of us. This mysterious force we can summon when we need help. Then I thought you were maybe talking about spirit of people who are surrounding us. Either way, you wrote in a way that made me want to read until the end.

    2) To a child, this is a beautiful and very inspiring story. I am a mother of 5 year old twins and they love unicorns. I will surely use it as a bedtime story for my girls.

Since you write beautifully, you should maybe think about writing a few children stories on your topic. You could even offer one as a freebie to grow your mailing list. I would sure subscribe!

To summarize, I really like your topic, I think it’s cute, refreshing and inspiring. It lets our inner child run free.

I hope my comments will help you.

Keep it up, it’s great work.

    Marie-Lou

Hello Marie Lou and thank you so so much for the response and comments. Yes we believe it is so crucial to let your imagination run free, all too often it is restrained in todays world. We encourage children to believe in an imagine things like unicorns and what not.

I will definitely consider your advice on writing some stories its not something I had considered not know you have me thinking so maybe I will give it a shot.

      Thank you again!!!
