UNICORN CHRISTMAS TREES -Make your tree magical

Unicorn Christmas Tree

Unicorn Christmas Tree Bulb Ornaments

If you love Christmas and you love unicorns, then you are going to love this; Christmas unicorn trees.  I know right????  Amazing!  It’s like the two best things in the world came together and created something entirely swoon-worthy and fun. This is going to be the Christmas tree to top all other Christmas trees.  How can it not be with unicorns?

If you are going to have a Christmas unicorn tree, then we’ve got to be sure to get it decked out right!  This could be one of the most fun, and whimsical designs you’ve ever created.  We could not be MORE excited to talk about all things unicorn, especially when it comes to Christmas and decorating the Christmas tree.  Feel free to click on any of the images or links to get info on purchasing anything that catches your eye. So lets jump in and get started.

Christmas Unicorn Tree Color Palate

We have seen Christmas trees done with totally different color palates and all of them were fab-u-lous!  The color palate you choose for your tree will totally depend on your personal style.  It will also depend on whether or not you are using a white-flocked tree or a green one.  You will also want to consider the coloring of the Christmas unicorn ornaments you are going to use on the tree.

White Flocked Artificial Unicorn Christmas Tree
We have seen some incredibly gorgeous and glam unicorn trees that were white and pastel on a white-flocked tree.  We’ve also seen some trees that are completed decked out in bright colors and have almost every color of the rainbow on them.  Some like blues and silvers and others love pink and golds. It will definitely be up to your personal opinion.  One of my favorite looks is the candyland/Disney look.  You can dress up a white tree with the most beautiful Christmas unicorn ornaments that are in various pastel colors.

Don’t forget to add some gorgeous ribbon to accent it, and sparkles!  No Christmas unicorn tree is complete with out some sparkles.  You can either get glam glitter strands to wrap around the tree, other glitter ornaments or anything else you can possibly imagine.

There is no wrong way to dress up your Christmas unicorn tree.  This is your dream, and you should do exactly what you want.  For the classiest look, we’d probably suggest a white tree.  Add some pretty pastel colors, a bit of sparkle and shine and either gold or silver accents.

How To Accent Your Christmas Unicorn Tree

When it comes to unicorn themed ornaments for your tree, literally the sky is the limit.  There are a bazillion different ways to accent your tree.  Clearly, we want to get some unicorn in there.

Unicorn Christmas Tree Figurine OrnamentsWe’d usually start with a base of either accent ribbon, pearls, or glitter strands to wrap your tree.  Once you have done any of the wrapping you are going to do (if you even decide you want to wrap the tree) then the fun part comes of decorating the tree with ornaments.

We always start with the largest ornaments first and get them the way that we want them, and then we fill in with the smaller ornaments.  You’re going to get the most personal expression of your style and personality through the ornaments you choose to use.  We’d suggest starting with a myriad of Christmas unicorn ornaments.  After all, this is a Christmas unicorn tree.

The beauty of accents is that depending on what you choose, it can completely change the look of your tree.  Some people choose to make more of a winter forest look, and they use things like tree twigs, frosted faux greenery stems or willow stems to accent their tree.  Some people want a more whimsical feel to their unicorn tree.   So, after plenty of Christmas unicorn ornaments they may choose to accent with feather accents, sparkly bows, or even candy canes and lollipops.  Again, it will all depend on your personal preference.

Are you looking for sophisticated and classy Christmas unicorn tree, or would you prefer a totally fun and whimsical tree?  Do you want bright vibrant colors on your tree or more demure understated pastels?  There are so many fun options out there.  It’s hard to pick one style.

How To Top Your Christmas Unicorn Tree

We have seen Christmas unicorn trees with all sorts of toppers.  Some people choose to put a pretty unicorn right on the top of the tree.  Others choose to go with a classic star and still others choose to top their tree with a glittered unicorn horn.  You can either get a glittery cone tree for the horn, or you could even make a cone tree yourself with glittery scrapbook paper.

There is no wrong way to get this tree decorated.  We want to you feel a sense of joy whenever you walk into the room and see your beautiful Christmas unicorn tree.

Other Styling Tips

We also suggest adding ornaments that are different shapes and sizes for added dimension to your Christmas unicorn tree.  Everything that you choose should flow and coordinate with each other.  Sometimes though, it’s visually appealing to add dimension.

You could easily add little icicle ornaments that are long.  They could be gold, silver glitter, or even clear.  The point is to have fun with yourUnicorn Christmas Tree Unicorn Poop Ornament tree.  Make it something worth starting a conversation over.  Make it something that puts a smile on your face when you walk in a room and catches your eye.  For the most visually appealing tree you will most likely want to stick with your original color palate and make sure the whole tree blends together nicely.

Shut the front door!!!  How have I never thought of this!!! *laughs like crazy at herself*  Well, it’s not that unicorns haven’t graced my Christmas trees at all but, a full unicorn theme would be so special for children as well as myself.  I’m a forever child at heart.

I’ve been thinking for a few years about doing all peacock colors but, now I’m thinking peacock colored unicorns!  I don’t know where I found my first unicorn horn tree topper so I’ll have to check if that’s in your list.  I’ll admit..i’m excited already.  I’m not a fan of pink or, having my entire tree in rainbow colors (proper) but, peacock colored unicorn poop? Yes, please!

I suppose you are right though, I could just make my next Unicorn horn tree topper.  Besides, we had to add our own glitter to our first one!

By the by, your website added some seriously needed sparkle to my day!

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

Thank you Frye so much for the kind words. We are a site dedicated to all things unicorns and people who love them, but at the end of the day we really just want to put a smile on someones face.

I absolutely love this idea so much so, I am getting a little one for this year. I only thought I was done decorating for the season lol.
My 2 year old granddaughter will be so thrilled when she sees Mimi’s Lil Tree decorated just for her. She is into the whole Disney princess and fairytales. She will love the unicorn tree because she is really into Sophia the First.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful project. If I have time to get this done this year I will send over pictures. I am saving this post for the future so, if not this year than next year for sure.
    Happy Holidays,

  9. Dana Ellis-Cook says:

I love this idea. My granddaughter will go crazy over this Christmas tree. This is the 1st year she is old enough to get into the whole Christmas lights and all the decorations. Last year she wanted to eat all the decorations, now she just wants to touch all the pretty shiny objects.

I was thinking of a way to make her, her very own non breakable, shiny Christmas decorations so she can explore and experience Christmas without being told, “No, don’t touch that.” A unicorn Christmas tree will do just the job.

Thank you for such a wonderful idea. Pictures to follow soon.

    Happy Holidays!

    1. Cheyenne C. says:

Oh wow that’s so awesome  Dana, yes there a ton of non breakable yet still shiny unicorn ornaments to choose from. How exciting this being her first year to really take all of the the Christmas celebration in, enjoy!!!
